Update:

After the Los Angeles Lakers’ dramatic 110‑101 comeback win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, Luka Doncic didn’t hide his irritation with what he felt was a repetitive media question.

“We obviously won three in a row”

Asked what has been the biggest source of improvement since the NBA All‑Star break when he, LeBron James and Austin Reaves have been on the floor together, Doncic answered candidly.

“You guys going to ask me this question every night? Every night…“

The reporter told him yeah, and that he hadn’t seen him every day. Luka laughed, but answered the question despite his frustration.

“I think just what everybody sees. We obviously won three in a row. We’re playing together since the All‑Star break everybody, obviously the chemistry is going to keep building every day, every game we play.”

Clearly, he feels the games speak for themselves. The Lakers have already shown signs of progress since returning from All‑Star Weekend, even amid ups and downs.

On Tuesday night, Los Angeles rallied past the Pelicans 110‑101, powered by 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists from Doncic and a strong supporting performance from LeBron (21 points) and Reaves (15). The Lakers turned a late deficit into a 24‑7 run to close out the game. That victory marked the third straight win for Los Angeles, a notable spike in momentum after they struggled with consistency earlier in the season and endured injury interruptions.

Head coach JJ Redick recently described a post‑All‑Star win over the Golden State Warriors as the team’s “most complete game” since the break, signaling improved execution and effort on both ends.

And while the Lakers have not been perfect, observers note that health and consistency have been major factors. Doncic and Reaves are now healthier than they were earlier in the season, which has allowed rotations to stabilize and for the trio of stars to build chemistry.

What’s next for the Lakers

With their next matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, fans will be watching to see whether Los Angeles can sustain this momentum against a perennial contender.

And whether reporters ask the same question every night or not, Doncic’s made it clear that he believes the growth is real, incremental and visible in wins.
