Luka Doncic lashes out at NBA after dominating Clippers: “It’s dangerous”
Doncic dropped 43 points and tied Michael Jordan with a 40-point double-double, but was unhappy with one aspect of Tuesday’s game.

Luka Doncic produced yet another sparkling display against the Los Angeles Clippers to clinch top spot for the Lakers in the NBA Cup West Group B. Yet despite his incredible scoring exploits, the Slovenian was not exactly pleased after the game.
Doncic unhappy with “slippery” NBA Cup court
Speaking to reporters after the win, Doncic explained that he was not a fan of the special NBA Cup courts being used in the tournament.

“Adjust the courts, please,” the Lakers star pleaded with the league. “It’s just slippery, it’s dangerous. I slipped a lot of times, you could see a lot of players slipped, and that’s dangerous.”
Unique courts bring a splash of color
The unique court designs are a departure from the strict rules in effect for the remainder of the season. Fans have generally loved the change. Teams must include the NBA Cup logo in the lane and at midcourt, but they have much more freedom in the color and design beyond that.
Each court shares a central circle design and typically reflects the home colors of the team. The courts were designed by basketball artist Victor Solomon and are used during Group Play and the Quarterfinals phases of the tournament.
Doncic delivers another masterclass
The slippery court didn’t prevent Doncic from serving up yet another masterclass. He led the Lakers to a fifth straight win, dropping 43 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds in a 135-118 victory. It marked the 39th time in his career he has recorded a 40-point double-double, tying the legendary Michael Jordan.
