After stumbling at the final hurdle in last year’s WNBA Finals against the Las Vegas Aces, the New York Liberty are back again and looking to go one better. Of course, given the way the Lynx have played up to his point, that’s anything but a forgone conclusion
Liberty & Lynx is going to be lit
It’s two WNBA Finals appearances in a row for the New York Liberty, but after last year’s trip ended in disappointment, the team will be desperate to get its hands on a first-ever WNBA championship. Truth be told, they look a good bet to do so after a dominant 76-62 victory over the Las Vegas Aces, which secured a 3-1 series win over the team that defeated them in last year’s Finals.

Regarding the details of it all, it’s got to be said that Sabrina Ionescu continues to shine for the Liberty. On an average of 20.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in this postseason, Ionescu has been nothing short of outstanding.

On the other side of the divide we’ve got a Lynx team that has been here before, and then some. Having won four WNBA titles already, the Lynx are no strangers to the big time. That said, it wasn’t easy going to get here after they played a five-game thriller with the Connecticut Sun, eventually coming out on top in Sunday’s contest 88-77.
