‘Mamba’, the new kit for the 2025-26 season with which Barcelona pays tribute to NBA legend Kobe Bryant
Barcelona will debut their new away strip, which celebrates NBA legend Kobe Bryant, later this week in Seoul.
Barcelona unveiled the team’s second kit for the 2025–26 season - an iconic design which fuses the Catalan club’s own intrinsic style with the legendary “Mamba Mentality” - a tribute to the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
Officially unveiled and available through the club’s official stores from this morning, the jersey is a clear Team Gold color with Persian violet and black detailing - inspired by the classic colors of the Los Angeles Lakers , the teams he played for from 1996 until 2016.
Barcelona honor Kobe Bryant’s “Mamba Mentality” with new kit
The shorts are black with Persian violet trimming and also feature a textured snakeskin outline - a reference to Kobe’s Black Mamba alter ego. The socks are black with ‘Barça’ in violet braiding.
The partnership runs through the 2027–28 season and is a celebration of Kobe’s deep admiration for Barcelona, the club’s philosophy, achievements as well as the city. The late NBA star forged a long-standing connection with Barça, with numerous visits to the city and appearances alongside first-team players during summer tours to the US.
Apart from the second kit, the new collection also includes a limited edition range of streetwear and sports shoes. Members of the men’s and women’s first teams including Gavi and Alexia Putellas modeled the new kit and appeared in a promo video.
New kit to debut in Seoul this week
The men’s first team will give the new Mamba Mentality kit its debut run-out on Thursday 31 July when Barça face FC Seoul in the South Korean capital in the first outing of the 2025 Asian Tour.
