Micic staying at Efes despite interest from NBA

The final big news in the European basketball transfer market has been confirmed: Vasilije Micic (28 years old, 1.96 meters) is staying at Efes. The player’s own agent, Misko Raznatovic, confirmed the news earlier today. The Serbian point guard will continue for at least another year at Anadolu Efes, with whom he has won the last two Euroleagues, being also MVP in both Final Fours.

Everything seemed to point to the Serbian guard heading to the NBA. He already tried a year ago, although in the end he did not agree with the franchise that had his rights, the Oklahoma City Thunder. So he continued under the leadership of Ergin Ataman and wound up making history again, raising his second consecutive Euroleague and winning Finals MVP. Micic said a few days ago that he was ready to make the leap to the best league in the world and that this could be the right time.
