The Memphis Grizzlies mercilessly swept the Milwaukee Bucks (142-101) in a game that had already been settled at halftime, when the locals were winning by 29 points (70-41). This marks the seventh victory in a row for Memphis, who with a record of 19-9 lead the Western Conference after the defeat of the New Orleans Pelicans in Utah.

The victory, as the scoreboard shows, seemed like a piece of cake for the Grizzlies who handcuffed Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek only had 19 points- the third time he has fallen below 20 this season. Khris Middleton who came back after a long wrist injury was set to help Memphis get back on top, but the Bucks forward only made 3 points with a very low 0 of 4 from two and 1 of 8 from the triple. He may have hit the lowest point of his career against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies on Thursday night.

The worst part for Milwaukee, though, was their defense.

Memphis has the best record in the West

Morant took advantage of the situation, accumulating his third triple-double of the season with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Spanish Santi Aldama, who also took advantage of the weak defense, reached 14 goals (2 of 3 from triple) and 3 rebounds. With him on the court, the Grizzlies were +28, the third-highest after Morant’s +30 and Jones’ +32.
