76ers and Knicks open preseason in Abu Dhabi

The Philadelphia 76ers face the New York Knicks in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Thursday, October 2, in the first of 65 preseason matchups. The schedule wraps up with eight games on Friday, October 17, just four days before the regular season begins.

NBA goes global with six international games

This year, six preseason games will be played outside the United States. In addition to Abu Dhabi, the NBA will visit San Juan, Puerto Rico; Vancouver, Canada; and Macao, China, as the league continues its push for international growth.
