The NBA regular season has just days left, but the playoff race is still on for several teams. Here’s where they stand as of April 6.
New York Knicks defeat Indiana Pacers, 138-129
The Knicks are on a five-game winning streak and are now fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 47-33 record, clinching their spot in the playoffs. Immanuel Quickley led the game with 39 total points.
Brooklyn Nets defeat Detroit Pistons, 123-108
The Nets are No. 6 in the Eastern Conference with a 44-36 record. Mikal Bridges was the lead scorer with 26 points.
Atlanta Hawks defeat Washington Wizards, 134-116
The Hawks are on a three-game winning streak and have clinched a play-in position at No. 7 in the Eastern Conference. Trae Young was the lead scorer with 25 points.
Boston Celtics defeat Toronto Raptors 97-93
The Celtics have clinched the playoffs and sit at No. 2 in the Eastern Conference. Malcom Brogdon led the team with 29 points vs the Raptors. The Raptors, meanwhile, are at No. 9 and have secured their place in the Play-in tournament.
Milwaukee Bucks defeat Chicago Bulls, 105-102
The Bucks secured the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference with their defeat over the Bulls, and have the best record in the NBA at 58-22. Bobby Portis led the team with 27 points.
New Orleans Pelicans beat Memphis Grizzlies, 138-131
The Pelicans beat the Grizzlies in overtime and are now at No.8 in the Western Conference with a 41-39 record. Herb Jones led the scoring with 35 points. The Grizzlies already clinched No. 2 in the division.
Dallas Mavericks defeat Sacramento Kings, 123-119
The Mavs ended a three-game losing streak with their win over the Kings and sit at No. 11 in the West. Kyrie Irving was the leading scorer with 31 points. The Kings already secured the No. 3 spot in the division.
LA Clippers defeat LA Lakers, 125-118
The Clippers are at No. 5 in the East and the Lakers are at No.7, still hoping to avoid the Play-in tournament over the next few games. Norman Powell was the Clippers’ lead scorer with 27 points.
