The Denver Nuggets were surprised by the Minnesota Timberwolves and were eliminated in the NBA playoffs, those led by the Serbian Nikola Jokic were looking to confirm the title but the series was extended and in the seventh game the wind blew in favor of the Minnesota team.

The T-Wolves overcame a 15-point deficit and sealed the game 98-90 in the final stretch, with Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards as the standard bearers during these playoffs as Minnesota return to the conference finals for the first time since 2004.

Jokic praise for Minnesota

For the Nuggets, last year’s winners, failing to make it to the conference finals came as a huge disappointment, as three-time MVP Nikola Jokic admitted on social media:

Yes. I think they’re built to beat us - just look at their roster. They have basically two All-Stars, probably the two All-Defensive First Team players, and Mike Conley, who’s the most underrated player in the NBA probably. I mean, I love the guy. He’s so good, he always makes the right plays even if he didn’t shoot that well in this series. In one moment he was the leading rebounder in the game for them” the Serbian said.

From the bench, they have the Sixth Player of the Year... They have Kyle [Anderson] and [Nickeil Alexander] Walker who was really good from them, so. They can do literally everything. They can be big, small, so...” he added.

The Denver quintet made the fans excited, after coming from behind in a series that was 0-2 and that lasted until the seventh game; winning three games in a row. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray were the team’s big references during the team’s postseason.

The T-Wolves meanwhile will face Luka Doncic’s Mavericks, a team they have faced a total of 136 times during the regular season and three times in the playoffs. They were pitted against each other in 2022 conference finals with Dallas advancing after winning the series 3-0.
