Paul George discusses possible future HOF
LA Clippers’ Paul George praises McClung in NBA All-Star dunk contest and discusses his own potential future as a Hall of Famer.
Paul George was part of the NBA’s All-Star Game this weekend as a reserve and when LeBron James left with an injury, George filled in for him in the second half. George also surprised a youth basketball team in Utah with an appearance at a skills clinic, giving them a $10,000 grant and helping out in a dunk contest with the kids.

Paul George hasn’t had too many defining moments in his career, and perhaps that’s why he was left out of last year′s list of “Hall of Fame Locks” by The Athletic. This year with the Clippers though, George is averaging 23.3. points, 6.1 boards, and 5.3 assists, shooting 46.1% from the field and 38.2% from distance. He’s an eight-time All-Star and always comes through at clutch moments. Despite his performance at the All-Star Game (he had 8 points and was 0-9 from the three-point range), he deserves to be in Hall of Fame discussions.

“Me, just even thinking about the Hall of Fame, it’s not even in my thoughts,” said George. “I mean, hopefully with the career and hopefully with everything I’ve done up until this point and past this point puts me in conversations for it, but I’ve never visioned myself in the Hall of Fame.”
George also discussed the NBA’s All-Star Slam Dunk contest winner, Mac McClung, who dominated the competition with his nearly flawless dunks.
“He was special,” said George. “He held the dunk contest down. Everybody else I thought did a great job, but some of the stuff he was doing, we haven’t seen. And that’s hard to do.”
