Shaq has had enough: “I’m gonna punch you in your face”
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal took aim at Robert Griffin III for comments made on his podcast.

The backlash to comments made by former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III about WNBA star Angel Reese continued on Tuesday, with Shaquille O’Neal getting involved in the controversy.
Griffin, now a Fox Sports analyst, had been critical of Reese’s on-court performances and claimed that he had been told that she hates WNBA rival Caitlin Clark. In a series of social media posts, RG3 also sought to criticize some who had directed racist remarks against Reese.
But in doing so, Griffin choose to re-post a racist image that depicted Reese as a monkey. He claimed that he was doing it to call-out the behavior but he was roundly criticized for bringing more attention to the racist attack.
One of those to respond to Griffin was Shaq, who did not mince his words in an appearance in the Off The Record podcast.
“RG3, tweet another monkey post about my girl Angel Reese and I’m gonna punch you in your f***ing face. K. It’s enough. Like, I don’t usually do stuff like this but stop it, bro,” O’Neal said.
“You got your job, you got your podcast, leave my Angel Reese alone. I’m the one calling her and telling her not to respond, f***ing stop it. That’s the last time. K. Thank you.”
In his initial comments, Griffin was talking about the high-profile on-court rivalry between Reese and Clark, who have both become extremely prominent players in the WNBA in recent years. However both players have insisted that the rivalry does not extend beyond the game of basketball and Shaq agreed that analysts should not exaggerate.
“That’s not real hate,” Shaq said of Reese and Clark. “You look around at what’s going on in this real country, that’s hate. This is sports, I’m not supposed to like you.”
