Update:

Philly fans are wishing football season comes back soon, because ever since the Eagles won the Super Bowl, it’s been nothing but bad news for the Sixers. They are in the midst of a long losing streak, and suffered their biggest loss of the season on Monday night.

Bulls blow out Sixers in Philly

Even since before Super Sunday, the Sixers have been drastically underwhelming as they continue to fight through a long list of injuries throughout their roster. On Monday night, Philadelphia hosted Chicago and took their worst loss of the season.

Once again, the 76ers were without Joel Embiid and Nick Nurse’s team went down by as many as 50 in the fourth quarter as Josh Giddey led the Bulls with 25 and Kevin Huerter had 23 in the 142-110 win that snapped a six game losing streak.

The Sixers are on a losing streak of their own having dropped their last eight games and 10 of 11. In the postgame interview, coach Nurse was asked about how his team gets out of this rut, and he told reporters, “I got to get them back on track. Got to get them together. Keep playing. I don’t have time to analyze what outsiders are saying. We got to look ourselves in the mirror, and get to work. Be more professional. Give some energy and play hard.”

There are rumors of Embiid being done for the season as he continues to deal with nagging knee injuries. When asked about his former MVP center Joel Embiid, and the possibility of the team shutting him down for the year, Nurse was short but direct with his answer. “Just not there yet as an organization” he said.
