Stephen Curry misses four career-high free throws in Game 4 loss to Nuggets
Stephen Curry reveals his “worst feeling in the world” after he missed four free throws in the Game 4 loss to the Nuggets
Denver defeated the Golden State 126-121 in Game 4 of the Warriors-Nuggets series, surprisingly avoiding their elimination from the playoffs.
The most memorable moment of their game? Curry shockingly missed four free throws, a playoff career-high, that could have possibly changed the end result of the game.
Curry: “I missed free throws, and I hate it”
The two-time MVP shared what that feeling was like post game. “I missed free throws, and I hate it,” said Curry. “It’s the worst feeling in the world. It’s what I do really well. Misses were all in-and-outs, pretty much. Two front rims, two in-and-outs. So I know what to correct on that. I’m glad I got there 14 times, which speaks to how I’m feeling physically.”
This was the first time the Warriors star ever missed four free throws during a game. On the other hand, Curry averaged 27.5 points, looking more like himself again since he’s been back from injury on a minutes limit.
And after seeing the 34-year-old’s reaction on the court, it’s likely we will be seeing his free throws back to normal again soon.
