Stephen Curry return date revealed for Warriors

Stephen Curry is close to returning to action with the Golden State Warriors after missing five games with a thigh contusion. He is expected to be back for Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Curry did not travel with the team on its three-game road swing – a stretch they finished 3–2 without him. In 16 appearances this season, he is averaging 27.9 points per game while shooting 47.1% from the field, numbers that underline his importance to the Warriors’ offense.

“The Chef” was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and is now waiting for final clearance to suit up against the Timberwolves. His return would come at a timely moment for Golden State as it looks to regain continuity in its rotation.

The Warriors are also close to getting Draymond Green back. The veteran forward missed the last two games and did not take part in Wednesday’s practice for personal reasons, but he is expected to rejoin the team in the coming days.
