The Bulls will honor Derrick Rose with jersey retirement: here’s the date and opponent
Back in January, Chicago announced that they will be retiring the guard’s No. 1 jersey - the fifth Bulls player to be given the honor.

The Chicago Bulls will honor former player Derrick Rose in the New Year with a ceremony to officially retire his No. 1 jersey.
Rose arrived in Chicago as the first overall pick in the 2008 draft and spent the first seven years of his professional career with the franchise - winning the Rookie of the Year award in his debut season.

Chicago Bulls to honor famous son
By the time he left in 2016, Rose had become one of the most prolific players in the Bulls history, averaging 19.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 406 regular season games.
A three-time NBA All-Star (2010, 2011, 2012), in his third season he became the youngest player in history to win the Most Valuable Player Award.
Now, he is set to become the fifth Chicago Bulls player to have his jersey retired.

retire Rose’s iconic No. 1 jersey during a postgame ceremony following the regular season matchup with the Boston Celtics at the United Center on January 24, 2026.
More details about the ceremony will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, fans attending home games will be able to pick up collectible, commemorative Derrick Rose figurines, while supplies last.
