Estados Unidos Update:

The Golden State Warriors have come under fire from their fans for lagging behind in the transfer market. It’s evident that the franchise needs to strengthen certain areas - the need to bring in a center is even greater after Kevon Looney’s $16 million move to the New Orleans Pelicans.

There is also some uncertainty over Stephen Curry, who remains out recovering from a hamstring injury.

With the free agency period now officially open, it will be interesting to see how the Warriors respond in the coming days.

Warriors confirm Alex Toohey and Will Richard from the draft

On Sunday, trades involving seven teams were completed, with the main exchange being Kevin Durant’s switch to the Houston Rockets.

In this series of moves, the Warriors acquired Australian Alex Toohey, who was drafted with the 52nd pick, a selection belonging to the Phoenix Suns.

The Warriors sign talented youngsters

The 21-year-old small forward spent the last two seasons playing in the National Basketball League’s Next Stars Program with the Sydney Kings, averaging 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Additionally, they traded Jahmai Mashack to the Grizzlies; and finally, ended up with Will Richard from the Florida Gators, who was drafted with the 56th pick by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Richard, 22, has three seasons under his belt in the NCAA Division I with the Florida Gators, posting an average of 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.

Both players were called up for the Warriors’ Summer League commitments, so they have the chance to demonstrate their value and fight for a spot on the starting roster of the NBA.
