Update:

Luka Doncic will face his former team for the first time tonight since they shockingly traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month in exchange for Anthony Davis. The Mavericks are getting ready to play at Crypto.com Arena and face their former star player.

Ticket prices surge for Lakers-Mavs next meeting

The next time the two teams meet will be on Wednesday, April 9 and this time, it’ll be at the home of the Mavericks, American Airlines Center in Dallas. While the Dallas fanbase is angry and upset at the trade, the game’s still expected to sell out quick.

But if you’re hoping to attend that one, get ready to pay a pretty penny for it. Single tickets are going for the hefty price of around $250 on Ticketmaster and StubHub.

After the Doncic trade was made, several fans criticized the Dallas franchise, threatening to boycott the team, canceling season tickets, and calling on manager Nico Harrison, who orchestrated the trade to the ignorance of everyone else, to be fired.

For the game tonight, Doncic will play after sitting out from his final games with the Mavs as he recovered from a calf injury. Davis, however, will have to wait to face his former team, as he will be on the bench recovering from a left adductor strain he suffered in his first game with the Mavs. We may be seeing the two face off for the first time come April.
