2023 NBA All-Star Schedule
Friday, Feb. 17
Saturday, Feb. 18
Sunday, Feb. 19
This year, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James will be the captain for the Western Conference and Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the captain for the Eastern Conference.
This will be James’ 19th time selected as an All-Star, tied with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most times to be selected in league history. The NBA started to use the captain format six years ago and James has been the captain every time since then, and he’s never lost an All-Star game as captain. This will be Antetokounmpo’s third time as captain of the Eastern All-Star team (2019, 2020).
This year, the captains will pick their teams just before the game begins, rather than a week or two in advance as in past years. The reserves were announced Thursday night.
