2024 NBA Cup
These are the 30 team courts for the 2024 NBA Cup
The second edition of the 2024 NBA Cup gets underway on 12 November and will feature all 30 teams with the Lakers reigning champions.
Los Angeles Lakers are the team to dethrone as the second edition of the NBA Cup gets underway on 12 November with the competition drawing inspiration from European soccer leagues, which feature in-season cup competitions.
The inaugural tournament was considered a success and as a result, the format remains the same as last year’s edition with all 30 NBA teams participating and split into six groups—three Eastern and three Western. Each team plays one game against the other four teams in its group. The winner of each group, along with the team boasting the best record among the non-group winners, will progress to the knockout rounds.
The quarter finals will take place on 10/11 December with the final stages of the competition moving to Las Vegas with both semi finals taking place on Saturday, 14 December with the final scheduled for three days later at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.
Bespoke court designs
All 30 NBA teams will play their 2024 Cup games on specially designed courts throughout the tournament. The court designs are the handiwork of basketball artist Victor Solomon, the courts will be used during Group Play and the Quarterfinals, showcasing a league wide, distinctive scheme. The colors of the courts are designed to contrast with the home teams’ Nike NBA Statement Edition uniforms, while road teams will wear Nike NBA Association Edition uniforms.
