This is how you can vote in real time in the 2025 NBA Slam Dunk Contest: The voting process explained
Chicago’s Matas Buzelis, Milwaukee’s Andre Jackson Jr. and San Antonio’s Stephon Castle are looking to defeat G Leaguer Mac McClung.

For more than 40 years, the NBA Slam Dunk Contest has been a much-loved part of the basketball calendar.
The AT&T Slam Dunk returns for 2025 on Saturday, February 15 at Chase Center in San Francisco. The contest will be part of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, with the action set to begin at 8pm ET.
Reigning champion Mac McClung, who plays for G League team Osceola Magic, will be fighting to retain his crown against NBA opponents.
This year, he’s up against Matas Buzelis of the Chicago Bulls, Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs and Andre Jackson Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks. McClung has won this contest in each of the past two seasons and he’s on track for a famous three-peat in San Francisco this weekend.
How to vote in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest
In previous years points have been awarded by the courtside judges but in 2025, for the first time ever, fans will get the chance to have their say. The AT&T Slam Dunk will give those watching along at home the option to vote for their favourite in a real-time vote.
Using your NBA ID you can submit scores after each dunk, either through the NBA App or on the NBA website.
Viewers votes will then be averaged out and will count as one of five official scorers, along with the scores submitted by the four judges. This year NBA icons Baron Davis, Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady and Jason Richardson will cast their eye over the competition.
