Utah Jazz release Leandro Bolmaro

The Jazz will no longer count on the services of the former Barça player as we enter the final stretch of the season.

The Utah Jazz have told Leandro Bolmaro that he is surplus to requirements. The Argentine player, formerly on the books at Barça, will not wear the Utah jersey for the remainder of the season. His participation, until now, had been residual. The 22-year-old joined the Jazz in July last year as part of the transfer that sent Rudy Gobert to Minnesota

According to Shams Charania, from The Athletic, he will seek to enter the play-in in an attempt to salvage something from what has been a low-key campaign for him personally. The 2023 Play-In Tournament gets underway on Tuesday 11 April and runs until Friday 14 April ahead of the playoffs.

Bolmaro had more of a presence in the G League, with the Salt Lake City Stars, than with the Jazz. In the NBA, he has played just 14 games with an average of 4.9 minutes on court. So far, his adventure in the NBA is not going as expected.

The 22-year-old will try to change his fortunes with another team - according to sources, several franchises could be interested, among them: the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers.
