These poor Miami Heat fans had to be disappointed when they realized what happened. In this viral video, some Heat fans were watching Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics, which ended with the Celtics scoring a last-second basket to force a Game 7.
Those watching on their phones at a wedding, however, didn’t notice that last score and thought the Heat finally pulled off the win. What they saw was Marcus Smart’s three-pointer rolling off the rim. What they didn’t see was Derrick White’s last second layup.

They started celebrating in the whole wedding reception with people running with Heat flags and jumping up and down screaming and chanting “let’s go Heat”. I only wish we could see the moment they realized they didn’t actually win, but the video cuts off before that (perhaps that is when they realized).
The Heat have been one game away from heading to the NBA Finals for three games now. They started at 3-0 in the series, but the Celtics made a major comeback. Now Game 7 will be played in Boston tonight. It’s no wonder these Heat fans were ready to just call it a win already.
