Vucevic joins the Celtics
Nikola Vucevic gets his way out of the Chicago Bulls, where he felt he had completed his cycle, and reinforces the Celtics, who will have him as their main center.

The Chicago Bulls have traded Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic to the Boston Celtics in exchange for shooting guard Anfernee Simons, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the NBA’s top insider.
Fifteen years in the best league
Vucevic, 35, is averaging 16.9 points, 9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game in his 15th NBA season. Before joining the Bulls, the veteran big man also played for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic.

Simons, meanwhile, had become a regular piece in Joe Mazzulla’s rotation, posting 14.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He arrived in Boston this past summer after spending seven seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The move sending Vucevic to Boston for Simons marks the second trade of the day for Chicago, coming just 48 hours before the NBA trade deadline. In an earlier three‑team deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons, the Bulls acquired Mike Conley and Jaden Ivey.
