After beating the Celtics in Game 5 at Chase Center on Monday, the Warriors can win their seventh NBA championship when they take a trip to Boston on Thursday.

Warriors v Celtics: NBA Finals Game 6 preview

Andrew Wiggins starred for the Warriors as Steve Kerr’s men took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series, the small forward scoring 26 points in a 104-94 victory.

Golden State are chasing their fourth NBA title in eight seasons, having also lifted the Larry O’Brien Trophy in 2015, 2017 and 2018. As for seventeen-time champions the Celtics, they must become the ninth team in NBA history to overturn a 3-2 Finals deficit if they are to add only their second title since 1986. The seventh and final game, if the Tatum and co can indeed do it in G6, will be at the Chase Center.

The Warriors were the last team to surrender such an advantage in the championship series, when they lost Games 6 and 7 to LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
