As Chris Paul continues to be one of the greatest veteran point guards in the NBA, he’s also thinking of life after he retires, and he’s not going small.

Phoenix Suns superstar Chris Paul is still going strong in the NBA, proving to be one of the greatest veteran point guards in the league. He was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets (now New Orleans Pelicans) as the 4th pick in the 2004 draft, where he played from 2005-2011. From there, he joined the Los Angeles Clippers for four seasons before hopping over to the Houston Rockets from 2016/17 to 2018/19. Oklahoma City Thunder then acquired the 12-time All-Star player for another season. Finally, Paul ended up in Phoenix in 2020/21, and continued to make an impact, lifting the Suns to be one of the best teams in the association.

The 17-year veteran became the first player ever in the NBA to score at least 20,000 career points and dish out at least 10,000 career assists during the Suns-Lakers game last season.

But while the 37-year-old player is continuing to do big things in the league, he isn’t planning to stop there. During a recent interview at the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit, Paul revealed that he has big plans for the future.

Will CP3 own an NBA team?

I would like to be a part of an ownership group after I’m done playing,” the Phoenix Suns star said, revealing his desire to own an NBA team after his career comes to an end.

It seems that Paul isn’t just saying this, as he’s been making good moves in the business world. Some people even anticipate he could team up with LeBron James, who has stated the same desire before, to own a franchise together. But nothing is set in stone.
