What caused Bronny James’ cardiac arrest? Will he be able to play basketball again?
Bronny James, son of LeBron James, lost consciousness during a workout at the Galen Center on 24 July.
According to a family spokesperson in a statement released on Friday, the “probable cause” of Bronny James’ sudden cardiac arrest was an “anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect”.
The condition “can and will be treated,” the statement said. After tests at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and an additional follow-up at the Mayo Clinic and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center, the son of LeBron James is expected to make a full recovery and return to basketball.
