What NBA Playoff games are on today, Thursday 19 May?
Following game one of the Western Conference finals this Wednesday, the Celtics and Heat series continues this Thursday.
Right after the start of the Western Conference finals, where the Warriors began the series with a commanding win over the Dallas Mavericks with a final score of 85-112. The Eastern Conference finals will continue on to game 2 of the series between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat.
The Miami Heat will look to keep a home-court advantage
Game one between the Celtics and the Heat was a very evenly matched one. The Boston franchise won three-quarters of that game, and it seemed to have the game controlled at moments. However, Miami won the third quarter and went on a run of 22-2, putting themselves 10 pts ahead of the Celtics going on to the fourth quarter. Boston was never able to turn it around and subsequently lost the match.
Miami will want to win game 2 and keep their home-court advantage and maybe bring the series back to the Sunshine State if they were to lose the following two games in Boston.
The Jimmy Butler effect
For the Miami team, Jimmy Butler was sensational. The power forward put 41 points and 9 rebounds and what was a very commanding performance. The Heat will try to clinch to his excellent form to edge over the Celtics and their arduous defense.
Boston and their defense
The Celtics will try to come back to their previous form. The team looked pretty dominant in game 1 but could not hold on to their lead and had the game turned around in the third quarter. Boston will need Jayson Tatum to lead the team and have a commanding performance.
