The Dallas Mavericks were able to avoid being swept by the Golden State Warriors in Game 4, but tonight the Warriors have another go at becoming the Western Conference champions in front of their fans at Chase Center.

The Mavericks pulled out all the stops to avoid elimination and banked on three-pointers to clinch their first win over the Warriors in the Conference Finals series, 119-109.

Golden State staged a rally to cut the 29-point lead, but Dallas managed to hold them off.

Overwhelming odds against the Mavs

The Warriors hold an intimidating 11-4 record overall in the 2022 Playoffs, and this includes the NBA’s best home playoff record for the season, 8-0.

Dallas will try to repeat their record in the previous round, where they defeated the top-seeded Phoenix Suns after facing elimination at 0-2.

If the Mavericks manage to get performances from the entire team as they did in Game. 4, they may just be able to survive to play another day.
