What was Stephen Curry’s reaction to Dembélé's ‘night night’ celebration?
NBA star Stephen Curry reacted on Twitter after Ousmane Dembélé imitated his ‘night night’ celebration during a preseason friendly against Juventus.
Stephen Curry attracted attention for his ‘night night’ celebration during last season’s NBA Playoffs, the Golden State Warriors star adopting a ‘sleeping’ pose that went viral as he led his team to the championship.

The celebration began to spread to other sports. WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu imitated it after scoring a game-winning basket, while Andrew McCutchen of MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers did it after hitting a home run.
“I was just having fun,” Curry said when asked about the origin of the celebration during the Warriors’ Playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks. “You talk about having kids. You already know how bedtime routines are important. It’s the final signal for job well done that day. Pretty special.”
Curry’s reaction to Dembélé's celebration
During Barcelona’s tour of the United States, French forward Ousmane Dembélé scored a brace in the Blaugrana’s 2-2 draw against Juventus at Dallas’ Cotton Bowl. The ‘Mosquito’, as Dembélé is known, became the latest sports star to mimic Curry’s iconic celebration.
Barça are one of the most high-profile teams in the sporting world, so Dembélé's nod to Curry did not go unnoticed by its creator, who took to Twitter to react to the player’s celebration.
“A movement,” Curry wrote in response to a photo of Dembélé doing his celebration, the NBA star accompanying his post with ‘laughing’ and ’sleeping’ emojis.
