What’s Shaquille O’Neal’s opinion on the Los Angeles Lakers next season?
The former NBA center and three-time championship winner with the Los Angeles Lakers sees a challenging outlook for the franchise’s next season.
Shaquille O’Neal, the winner of a ‘Three-Peat’ with the Lakers and another championship with the Miami Heat, has sent a message to LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and company, looking ahead to the upcoming NBA season.
“LeBron and AD will do a great job of keeping everyone in order, but I always said that if you really respect your coach, you’ll really go out there and play hard. I was fortunate enough to play for the Phil Jacksons, the Pat Rileys, because I knew they knew what they were talking about. All of the other coaches, no disrespect to them, there were moments in time where I was like I don’t know if that will work. ’” Shaq said during the popular show ‘The Pat McAfee Show’.
In addition, the Lakers legend offered his viewpoint on the situation with JJ Redick and criticized the coach, stating that they will face a challenging start and the absence of a star addition.
“That is the LeBron show, LeBron is in charge over there. I think personally, they’re gonna have a rough start. And what I mean by that, you know as a coach, it’s all about respect and if I’m a guy that’s played seven, eight years and I’m getting a young coach who I think I was a better player than, there’s gonna be a level of no disrespect there.” Shaq said.
