When does the NBA 2023-24 season start?
The 2022-23 season has just come to an end with the Denver Nuggets winning the Championship. But when does the next campaign start?
After 82 regular season games, three playoff series, and the NBA Finals, the Denver Nuggets have proven to be the best team this season.
Michael Malone’s side was the best in the Western Conference with 53 wins and 29 defeats, and the third-best team in the competition after the Milwaukee Bucks, the Boston Celtics, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Miami Heat finished eighth in the East and had to feature in the Play-In Tournament to earn a spot in the playoffs. After doing so, they managed to pull off the upset against the Bucks and the Celtics to get to the Finals, but their impressive run came to an end against Nikola Jokic & co.
Countdown to the 2023-24 season
The NBA Finals have been pretty one-sided, with the favorites Nuggets winning their first NBA Championship after being the best team in the postseason and defeating Miami in five.
Can Denver repeat their success next term? Now it’s time for Malone’s men to celebrate the title as the current season has just finished, but all franchises are already working on the next one and thinking about what their teams need to get better for the 78th edition of the tournament.
The 2023-24 campaign will get started on Tuesday, October 24, and will end on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
After the regular season, the playoffs are expected to begin in April and finish in May, while the 2024 NBA finals are expected to be played in June.
The 2024 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for February 18, 2024, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
