When will James Harden debut for the Clippers?
After much drama, James Harden will officially leave the Sixers and join the Clippers. As the details are finalized, Harden could attend tonight’s game.
James Harden got his wish for the Philadelphia Sixers to trade him to the Los Angeles Clippers, and it looks like he could be in attendance as early as tonight’s (Tuesday) game against the Orlando Magic. The deal is still waiting on some final details, so of course, he would not be able to play just yet. There are still details about a third team joining the deal for a first-round pick from the Sixers that has not yet been revealed. Once those details are finalized, a trade call will happen with the league office and the players will undergo medical testing. All of that will take some time, so Harden playing tonight is highly unlikely.
He could, however, play tomorrow (Wednesday) when the Clippers play the Lakers. That is still quite soon, but not impossible, though it’s probable that the Clippers will want to take their time getting Harden up to speed with things on the team. Otherwise, it’s quite likely Harden will make his debut next Monday when the Clippers play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden after a four-day break.
