Netflix has had great success with its sports documentary series, and the streaming platform is reportedly developing a new show that will focus on some of the biggest names in the NBA. This new series will follow the same model as the Quarterback documentary series, done with cooperation with the National Football League, and will feature a cast of talented and successful basketball players.

Netflix has already produced high-quality sports shows such as Formula One and golf’s PGA TOUR, and the upcoming show promises to be equally engaging. According to reports, the show will focus on five NBA players during its first season:

  • LeBron James,
  • Jayson Tatum,
  • Jimmy Butler,
  • Anthony Edwards,
  • and Domantas Sabonis.

The show is yet to be named and produced by several groups, including the production company founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, The SpringHill Company, and Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions. Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions will also be involved in the show’s production.

Fans will surely be hot for the release of the upcoming series, and the star-studded cast promises to make it a must-watch for basketball fans and Netflix subscribers alike.
