NBA PLAYOFFS
Who has played more NBA playoff games, Lebron James or Michael Jordan?
Comparisons between Michael Jordan and Lebron James’ careers continue to determine who the GOAT is, but who has featured in more playoff games?
The Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies are playing one of the most interesting first-round playoff series so far.
The LA franchise took the lead by winning Game 1, but Taylor Jenkin’s men managed to avenge their loss by defeating the Lakers without Ja Morant, who got injured in their first clash.
After that win, the Memphis franchise got a boost of confidence, as they were able to come out on top against their opponents without their best player, but anything can happen in the playoffs.
In Game 3, Morant, who was doubtful until the start of the game, recovered from his hand injury and played 42 minutes, scoring 45 points, but that impressive performance didn’t help the Grizzlies get the win against Lebron & co., who got away with the victory (101-111).
King James, alongside Anthony Davis, guided Darvin Ham’s side to their second win in the series in front of their fans at the Crypto.com Arena.
Lebron keeps making history in the NBA and in the playoffs, as he recorded 25 points, five assists, and captured nine rebounds, being once again a key player in the Lakers’ win.
Who has more playoff appearances: MJ or Lebron?
Comparisons between James and Michael Jordan don’t stop, as the former Chicago Bulls great won 6 Championships and Lebron James, who has won four, keeps breaking individual records thanks to his long and productive career.
James, at 38, won’t be in the sport much longer, but he may still win another NBA Championship.
In February, he went down in history again by becoming the all-time NBA scoring leader, breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record by scoring 38,388 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
But when it comes to appearances in playoff games, who has the edge, Jordan or Lebron? The Ohio native is the NBA player with the most playoff games played ever.
Lebron has featured in 269 playoff games so far, overtaking Derek Fisher (259) and Tim Duncan (251), while Michael Jordan played 179 games.
In terms of scoring, James has a playoff record of 7,705 points, while His Airness registered 5,987.
