We have an elimination game from TD Garden tonight as the Boston Celtics look to rebound from one of the worst loses in NBA Finals history. While in Boston will be showing up to the stadium hoping the Celtics wrap up the series and their 18th NBA Title, it will be a familiar face performing while teams are resting during the halftime break.

The Amazing Sladek on the big stage

The series is back in Boston after two games in Dallas. The Mavs were able to stretch the series to a fifth game thanks to a blowout win over the Celtics who were on the verge of a Finals sweep. All eyes will be on Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown who will attempt to close the series, but while the teams take a breather at halftime it will be the Amazing Sladek taking the stage on this potential elimination game from TD Garden.

If you have been to an NBA arena or watch NBA League Pass, then you most likely have seen the Amazing Sladek before. He is a chair acrobat that dubs himself “America’s oldest daredevil acrobat.” His act has been seen all over the country and tonight he will perform his death defying Tower of Chairs at the halftime break.

His real name is Gary Borstelmann, and he has been featured in the NBA Playoffs, WNBA All-Star Game and now the NBA Finals, but before that he was a contestant on America’s Got Talent and before that the Royal Hanneford Circus. The 65 year old travels the country going from gig to gig in his Chrysler Town and Country mini van, that is big enough to fit all the chairs he needs for his act.
