Who is Tuomas Iisalo, the Grizzlies’ head coach after sudden firing of Taylor Jenkins
The Memphis Grizzlies fired head coach Taylor Jenkins just before the playoffs, and interim HC Tuomas Iisalo will now take over.

The Memphis Grizzlies parted ways with head coach Taylor Jenkins with just nine games left to play in the regular season. Jenkins was the winningest head coach in Grizzlies history, so his successor will have big shoes to fill.
It wasn’t long after the shocking news broke that Jenkins was fired that the Grizzlies named Tuomas Iisalo as the interim head coach going forward.
The Memphis Grizzlies are naming assistant Tuomas Iisalo as the interim head coach, sources tell ESPN. Iisalo, a native of Finland, is a former Finnish professional player and coach.
