The James Harden saga has finally come to an end as the Philadelphia 76ers gave Harden his wish and agreed to trade him to the Los Angeles Clippers. Back in June, Harden opted into his $35.6 million player option for this season only to request a trade - preferably to the Clippers - and then call Sixers president Daryl Morey “a liar”.

Sixers trade Harden to Clippers: Terance Mann not included in trade details

Harden has not played for the Sixers at all this season. Last week, he was stopped by security from boarding the team plane for their two-game road trip to open the season. He returned to the bench on Sunday, but the league opened an investigation into his absence for the season-opener. He was supposed to have started practice with the team starting today (Tuesday) and play by Thursday.

What did the Clippers offer for Harden and when will he debut?

The Clippers now receive James Harden, PJ Tucker, Filip Petrusev, and a future first-round pick and the Sixers receive Marcus Morris, Nic Batum, Robert Covington, Kenyon Martin Jr., the 2028 first-round pick (unprotected), one first-round pick swap, and two future second-round picks. The Sixers will also waive veteran guard Danny Green. Initially, Terance Mann was of interest to the Sixers, but the Clippers did not have to give him up in the end.

It’s unclear at this moment when Harden will make his debut for the Clippers. They have won two of their first three games and take on the Orlando Magic tonight.

We will update this story with details as it develops.
