Update:

The Detroit Pistons will be hoping home court advantage will work in their favor as they head into Game 6 needing a win to level the series and keep their postseason dreams alive.

A 106-103 win at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday revived hopes of making it through to the Eastern Conference semifinals, where the Boston Celtics will meet the winners of this series. As it stands, J. B. Bickerstaff’s team trail 2-3 and face this elimination game without one of their star players.

What injury does Isaiah Stewart have?

Isaiah Stewart has sat out the last four games against the Knicks after suffering “inflammation” to his right knee earlier in the series. In his absence, Paul Reed has stepped up as the backup center behind Jalen Duren. Reed has averaged just under 10 minutes of playing time this season, with 4.1 points on 50.7% shooting.

Apart from Stewart, Jaden Ivy is the only other player on the Pistons’ IR. He remains out after fracturing his fibula at the start of the New Year.

When is the 2025 Game 6 matchup between the Pistons and the Knicks?

Game 6 of the 2025 NBA playoff First Round series between the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks will be played at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Thursday May 1 2025 with the game scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The game will be aired live on on TNT and will also be available on TruTV, MAX and FanDuel Sports Network Detroit.
