The Western Conference is getting tighter by the day. With around 20 games to go for every team, each game is a must win with playoff positioning at stake. Tonight the Los Angeles Clippers and the Minnesota Timberwolves will square off in Crypto.com Arena with a load of star power on the injury report coming into the night.

Both teams banged

Many times the healthiest teams are the ones that have the most success towards the end of the season and into the playoffs. We have seen some big stars go down for long stints of time, like Joel Embiid or Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns who is out for an undetermined amount of time with a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The T’Wolves who had Anthony Edwards listed as questionable with shoulder pain, and Rudy Gobert questionable with hamstring soreness. Gobert is a former Defensive Player of the Year and got the green light a few hours before the game, and even though it took a little longer to decide, the MVP candidate Edwards is going to dress tonight as well.

The chase for first place is on

Meanwhile the Clippers, who already have Russell Westbrook sidelined with a broken hand, but will have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George after the duo missed last game. They were on the sidelines against Milwaukee and tonight they were listed as questionable. Leonard has been suffering from left knee soreness while George has some soreness in his left groin that has been bothering him, but both will be available for Tyron Lue in this pivotal match up.

Both of these teams are looking to finish as high in the Western Conference standings as possible and this could end up being an important game in determining the final seeding considering the T’Wolves have won two of three games against the Clippers going into the fourth and final match up of the regular season.

Coming into the night, the T’Wolves are a game and a half behind the conference leading OKC Thunder and the Clippers are 3.5 games back.
