NCAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Caitlin Clark breaks the NCAA women’s basketball career scoring record: Top 25 points leaders
As Iowa’s effervescent guard Caitlin Clark sets a new high water mark for women’s basketball, we take a look at the ladies who top the table.
One thing was on Caitlin Clark’s mind as Iowa took on Michigan and it wasn’t the all-time NCAA scoring record. Fighting to stay in contention at the top of the Big Ten, Iowa needed a win more than Clark needed a new NCAA record. In the end, they got both.
With 49 points on the night, Clark led from the front as Iowa went to 12-2 in the conference, 23-3 overall. While it is still all to play for in the season, for the record books, this sees Clark top the all time scoring books with 3,569 points so far.
In doing so, Clark overtakes the previous record of 3,527 points set by Kelsey Plum in 2017. Here is how the top 25 all-time list stacks up.
