Caitlin Clark has a chance to cap off her phenomenal college basketball career with an NCAA Tournament victory, and she’s only two wins away from accomplishing it. The talented guard for the Iowa Hawkeyes has been named The Associated Press Player of the Year for the second year.

Clark played a crucial role in leading the Hawkeyes to the second-best record in the Big Ten and securing the first seed in region two in March Madness. This talented guard from West Des Moines concluded her final year of college basketball with impressive averages of 32 points, 9.0 assists, and 7.3 rebounds.

The voting for the 2023-24 Player of the Year award was almost unanimous. Clark, who holds the NCAA women’s basketball scoring record, received 35 out of the 36 votes. The only vote for someone else went to Cameron Brink of the Stanford Cardinal.

Clark, who wears the number ‘22′, hopes to be selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The Indiana Fever is the team that holds this position in the university recruitment process.

When will Caitlin Clark’s next game be?

On April 5, at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT), Clark and the Hawkeyes will battle the UConn Huskies at Rocket Mortgage Fields. The stakes are high, as the winner of this match will advance to the championship game of the NCAA Tournament. If they win, they’ll have the opportunity to compete against the winner of the duel between the South Carolina Wolfpack and the North Carolina State Gamecocks.

This game is expected to be exciting, considering both teams have had successful seasons so far. The Hawkeyes finished the regular season with a record of 22-8, while the Huskies ended theirs with 15 wins and 7 losses. The Hawkeyes have been led by their star player, Clark, while the Huskies have been relying on their solid defense, which has held opponents to an average of 62 points per game.
