As the NCAA baseball regular season gets underway this weekend, we take a look at the pre-season polls and look at which teams to keep your eye on.

The biggest jump in the pre-season polls is LSU, who finished last season outside the top 25 but are coming into the season as the top-ranked program in the nation. This is largely on the back of their recruiting, which has managed to reel in the number one group of transfers in the nation and at the same time land the number one ranked freshman class. And all of this is in addition to a returning corps of some of the top baseball talent in the country.

Overall, the SEC has managed to top all other conferences in recruiting, with Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M all in the top five. For each of these teams the off-season saw a reshuffle, with the Rebels falling from one to four and the Aggies from three to five, but the Volunteers have jumped seven places, going from nine to two due to their recruiting.

Stanford rose two places from five to three after back-to-back CWS appearances, headlining the Pac-12 along with UCLA at 17 and Oregon at 25.

The ACC sees seven teams in the rankings, with the highest being Wake Forest who check in just outside the top five at number six. North Carolina is the 12th ranked team in the country, followed closely by Virginia Tech at 14, Louisville at 16, Virginia at 19, NC State and Miami rounding out the conference at 21 and 22 respectively.

Ninth-ranked Oklahoma State is the highest Big 12 team in the rankings, followed at 15 by TCU and Texas Tech at number 24.
