Country singer Charles Wesley Godwin explodes on Twitter: “Absolute bullsh*t” West Virginia not in March Madness
West Virginia didn’t make it into the March Madness tournament this year and fans like country singer Charles Wesley Godwin are not happy the snub at all.

There were some controversial calls made by the NCAA selection committee on Selection Sunday this year, one of which was leaving out the West Virginia Moutaineers from the March Madness tournament.
West Virginia went 19-13 overall and 10-10 in conference play this year and were considered a shoe-in to be selected to play in the NCAA tournament. So when they didn’t make the cut, they were considered one of the biggest snubs. Even the governor of West Virginia, Patrick Morrisey, ordered an investigation into whether or not any “backdoor deals” were made that kept the Mountaineers out.
The latest of those to express their rage over the snub is country star Charles Wesley Godwin.
Charles Wesley Godwin an unhappy Mountaineers fan
Charles Wesley Godwin was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia and has always been a diehard Mountaineers fan. Back in 2023, he delivered a speech to the football team that became their mantra throughout their nine-win season.
So when he saw his team left out of the NCAA tournament, he was just as upset as any Mountaineers fan and took to social media to express his rage.
Well the @WVUhoops just got absolutely screwed. 19 wins in the reg season. 10-10 in the Big 12. 6 quad 1 wins. Some of the wins we had this year over some great teams like Gonzaga, Arizona, Iowa State and even Kansas on the road. C’mon @MarchMadnessMBB. Absolute bullshit.

“Well, West Virginia just got absolutely screwed,” Godwin posted on X. “19 wins in the reg season. 10-10 in the Big 12. 6 quad 1 wins. Some of the wins we had this year over some great teams like Gonzaga, Arizona, Iowa State, and even Kansas on the road. C’mon. Absolute bullsh*t.”
By Monday, the singer still wasn’t over it, posting again to say he was perhaps “even worse off than yesterday”.
How we feeling today Mountaineer Nation? I may be even worse off than yesterday.
