D1 NCAA Baseball Rankings: 2024 Week 11
The top 25 revolving door continues as teams bubble up or drop out of sight, with the regular season winding down and conference tournaments just ahead
College baseball is one of the most exciting and unpredictable of all sports leagues in the world. The gatekeepers become court jesters and then rise to be crowned king more frequently than in any other sport.
As the tenth weekend of the season gave us plenty of upsets, ejections, and excitement, the seeming revolving door in the top ten continued to spin.
In one of the headline moments of the weekend, Vanderbilt pitcher JD Thompson was ejected for use of a sticky substance, said to be sunscreen and rosin, in their game against Florida, an infraction that normally carries a four-game suspension. All in all, there were 13 ranked teams who lost a series, causing a big upheaval in the rankings.
The top five teams all held firm, with Texas A&M, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky all flexing their muscles at the top of the rankings. Clemson climbed a spot to five on the misfortune of Oregon State, who split with Nevada and dropped the series to Cal.
Here is the current NCAA D1 Rankings as we head into the eleventh week of the season.
