Get ready for tailgates. Get ready for marching bands. Get ready for fight songs. And get ready for college football. Last week the NCAAF season started with what’s called Week 0, but this weekend we have a full slate of games as the top programs in the nation get ready to make their season debuts.

Massive matchups to start Week 1

The AP preseason No. 1, Alabama commence their season with an out of conference matchup up against Utah State. The Crimson Tide are in search of their 19th national title in program history, but as always, they will have to get through a rigorous schedule in the SEC.

Fellow SEC contenders, and defending National Champions, Georgia, start their season off with an early test against a Top 20 side in Oregon in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The game of the Week 1 will take place at the Horseshoe as the second ranked Ohio State Buckeyes host fifth ranked Notre Dame on Saturday night from Columbus.

The week begins with a massive rivalry matchup on Thursday when #17 Pittsburgh host West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl. It will be the first time in 11 years the two eternal rivals will square up against each other. Expect fireworks from Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The week will come to a close with a Labor Day special, when the Clemson Tigers travel to Atlanta to take on ACC rival Georgia Tech from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on the 5th of September.
