In the next round, Clark and the Hawkeyes will face Angel Reese’s third seeded LSU Tigers in a game which is a rematch of last year’s NCAA tournament championship game which saw Louisiana win out despite being rated as underdogs ahead of the final.
To qualify for the Elite Eight, Clark scored 29 points with 15 assists against Colorado with Iowa’s other four starters scoring double figures: Sydney Affolter 15, Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin 14, and Hannah Stuelke 11.
The defending champion LSU Tigers dug deep on Saturday to get past UCLA, 78-69, in the Sweet 16 round of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Tournament.
