March Madness: Saturday preview
The Auburn Tigers, who are chasing their first ever title in the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament, take on the Creighton Bluejays after an 83-63 win over the Alabama State Hornets in the First Round.
The Bluejays advanced to the last 32 by beating the Louisville Cardinals 89-75.
Like Auburn, the Houston Cougars are in pursuit of the first March Madness crown in program history, having lost the National Championship Game in both 1983 and 1984.
Kelvin Sampson’s men set up a Second-Round clash with the Gonzaga Bulldogs by easing to a 78-40 victory over the SIU Edwardsville Cougars. Gonzaga saw off the Georgia Bulldogs 89-68.
Today’s March Madness action also features the tournament’s most decorated team - 11-time winners the UCLA Bruins, who face the Tennessee Volunteers.
When’s the next round in March Madness 2025?
The winners of today’s Second-Round games - and the eight remaining last-32 clashes scheduled for tomorrow - will advance to the Sweet 16, held on March 27 and 28.
The Sweet 16 is followed by the Elite 8 on March 29 and 30, with the winning quarter-finalists then progressing to this year’s Final Four.
When and where is the March Madness 2025 Final Four?
The 2025 Final Four is to take place in San Antonio, Texas, where the 65,000-capacity Alamodome will be the venue.
The two National Semi-Finals are to played on April 5, before the National Championship Game on April 7.
