NCAA Baseball SEC Tournament Friday bracket, schedule and scores
The SEC tournament field is trimming down to four teams as the quarter-finals finish up on Friday, Vanderbilt and LSU await the winners.
The 2024 NCAA Baseball SEC Tournament moves to the final stages of the quarter-finals as Kentucky and South Carolina will slug it out for the right to face LSU in the first semi-final game.
Across the bracket, the top-seeded Tennessee Volunteers face the Mississippi State Bulldogs for a ticket to face Vanderbilt in the other one.
The road here has taken twists and turns with all four of these teams just a loss away from elimination. Both LSU and Vandy have yet to drop a game but due to being lower-ranked than all four of the teams they could potentially face, will both be the underdog coming into their respective games.
In boxing it is known as the championship rounds, but both LSU and Vanderbilt have that special quality that allows them to step it up late in the season, sometimes even late in the playoffs, and finish strong. They may fall away during the season, but come playoff time, they test well.
