Update:

Ever since day 1 of the 2025 season, Arch Manning has been under pressure to perform at a level that is almost impossible to achieve. The Longhorns lost their first game 14 - 7 to the Ohio State Buckeyes and ever since Manning has been under the microscope as fans and analysts question and challenge every decision the young QB makes.

Tim Tebow knows a lot about being in the spotlight and having to deal with unreal expectations and the former Florida Gators QB offered some advice to Manning on the Rich Eisen show.

“You’re a gifted player. You’re a really good player,” Tebow said to Manning. “You just need to be encouraged. Remember it for the love of the game. You don’t have to make every play. You don’t have to be perfect.”

Tim Tebow praises Arch Manning’s leadership and composure

“He’s at a great location now with great coaches, great players around him, but there’s just a lot of pressure. Pressure is real,” Tebow said. “I have really appreciated the way he’s carried himself for three years now: I’ve appreciated the way that he’s handled it as a teammate with Quinn. And when he took over, the way he handled even some of the disappointments. I just think he’s a great example of someone that has handled hype and criticism. He hasn’t pointed fingers. He’s handled it really well.”

Tebow finished with some more direct advice for the young Longhorns QB: “Love the game, love your teammates. Enjoy it. You know it was probably advice I needed a lot especially in my senior year because we weren’t playing just against the team we were playing, we were also playing against what we had done in the past and the hype or the criticism of it.”
