Early Years and High School Dominance
Born on January 22, 2002, in Des Moines, Iowa, Caitlin Clark grew up in an athletic family. She displayed exceptional basketball skills from a young age, dribbling a basketball by the time she was five years old.
Clark attended Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, where she became a scoring sensation. During her junior year in 2019, she dropped 60 points in a single game, leaving fans in awe.
In her freshman year of colleges 2020–21, she averaged 26.6 points and 7.1 assists per game, earning her the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Year title. She led the United States to a gold medal in the under-19 world championship and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
